A dry white wine of extraordinary distinction. Casa do Arrabalde, produced in the Vinho Verde region, presents a citrus hue and crystalline appearance. It is an aromatically complex wine, marked by floral notes, reflecting the combination of the white grapes Alvarinho, Avesso and Arinto, giving it a freshness and balance, which lingers on the palate in a long and pleasant finish.
In 2013 the Winter was cooler and with unusual precipitation that contributed to the late ripening of the grapes. In April a strong frost destroyed part of the most precocious Avesso. A strong change of temperature at the end of June led to an accelerated growing process. The harvest was hand-picked by varietal, with manual selection, and later fermented in stainless steel vats.
This wine is made solely from regional varieties grown at the estate. The use of sustainable agriculture practices, reflect a white wine whose characteristics are defined by the natural conditions of its place.
