Casa do Arrabalde 2011 was a remarkable year. This dry white wine from the Vinho Verde region blends the grape varieties Alvarinho, Arinto and Avesso. It displays a citrus color and crystalline appearance. Tropical fruit aromas and citrus define its aromatic complexity. On the palate this white wine presents an interesting balance between fruit and acidity followed by a harmonious end.
The year of 2011 culminated in an outstanding harvest. The winter although cold and rainy was preceded by a cool spring and a sunny summer with above average temperatures. The harvest began with sun in late September, using careful manual selection. The must was decanted at low temperatures and the fermentation was conducted at 16 degrees. After fermentation the wine was kept on fine lees for 3 months and stabilized.
Produced with sustainable agriculture and a focus on minimal intervention, avoiding the use of preservatives in the best possible way with the intention of creating a wine that is natural and expresses our culture and region.
