Espinhosos 2014

Espinhosos 2014 Portuguese white wine

Espinhosos 2014

White Wine | Regional Minho | 13,0% vol.

White wine, produced in the Vinho Verde region. Unites the Avesso and Chardonnay grapes in a blend of crystalline aspect of straw yellow color. Mango notes complement the aromatic and sophisticated range of this portuguese white wine. The palate is structured, soft and fresh with great minerality, a complex and long finish. When harmonized with gastronomic delicacies it reaches its splendor, providing an unforgettable experience.

The harvest in 2014 was a challenge due to the adverse weather conditions that guided the year. Significantly colder Winter and the unusual rain during the Summer, contributed to the late ripening of the bunches. The different varietals were individually selected and harvested by hand, and later subjected to a process of pelicular maceration and fermentation in stainless steel vats.

Sustainable agriculture ensures the longevity and health of the soil and the vines ensuring the quality of wine in every harvest. Wine is a natural product and for us that means to vinify with the least amount of intervention, avoiding the use of preservatives wherever possible. Only in this way do we guarantee the delivery of a wine that represents our culture and is an expression of our terroir.
